What do journaling, Pokemon Go, and a community garden have in common? Absolutely nothing!
Nevertheless, the CLT Writing Out The Storm Journaling Club combined them altogether to enjoy a brief but fun excursion off campus. The location was Las Vegas’ first and largest public garden called Vegas Roots Community Garden. Its four acres are practically in Zappos’ backyard and offers such a wonderful solace for journaling. Another thing the garden offered that day was a battle arena for level five Pokemon Go players, as it has become a site for a Pokemon gym.
Before heading back to Zappos’ campus, the group engaged in an authentic journaling exercise, writing freely what they felt in their hearts while enveloped by Mother Nature. A great day to be a nature-loving Pokemon Go journaler!
