When you keep focused on your passion, you begin getting paid to do that which you love doing. As a ghostwriter for the past 16 years, I’ve come to know that to be true.
I’m now blogging and conducting journaling workshops for my day job, Zappos, after being there only one year.
I guess the significance of the assignment’s magnitude didn’t really hit me until speaking with a friend recently and she looked me square in the eyes and said, “YOU are blogging for a billion dollar company! How cool is that?” Wow. That IS pretty cool. I’d never looked at it that way. I had to let that statement sink in for its full-blown gratitude to blossom.
Also, offering my co-workers these journaling workshop sessions is major cool as well. I am sooo very humbled by it all. Here’s my promo video for the journaling workshops:
When my friend said that to me that day, it reminded me of something. Just as important as having goals and aspirations, we must not forget to then watch for the manifestation of those goals. Sometimes blessings are right in front of us, waiting on our acknowledgment of them, while we’re searching over the horizon for more.
I am eternally thankful for that which I have today. I give honor and gratitude to my Almighty Creator, whose omnipotence and omnipresence I rely on daily.
